At the Beach

After eating breakfast, we decided visit the beach. After all, it was right on backdoor! You could get beach towels from the reception. When we got to the beach, there was a guy setting lounge chairs right on the beach. Only problem was that he wanted $10 for each! Of course, we should have bargained. Still, a bit too much for 1 hour beach visit!

Aventura Mall, Biscayne Blvd

We had looked up for some big Malls to visit on our visit on Florida, and we decided to go to Aventura Mall, located at Biscayne Blvd, Aventura FL. We found a parking slot almost immediately. Altrough it was fun to visit the shops and do some shopping - It was also fun to notice that for example, Secure Digital Cards were 60% cheaper here in Finland that what we found at Aventura Mall ! So, if you plan to take a lot of pictures - Get enough memory cards from Europe ;-)

Visiting a Fire Station - 2300 Pinetree Drive

After visiting the Shopping Mall, we decided to visit one of the Fire Stations at Miami Beach - And the lucky station was Station 2, located at 2300 Pinetree Drive, FL. Altrough we didn't announce our visit in advance, we were welcomed to the station. They also had a small shop inside where we could buy T-Shirts, Licence Plates, Baseball caps and other Fire service related stuff.

We had reserved couple of patches for trade, and we got theirs in return.

And just when we were leaving, they had an alarm - And we were able to catch it on video:

Time to return the car...

There was still some time so we drove around without any destination - Until it was time to return the car to Avis Rent-a-Car point at South Beach. After returning the car, we went for a walk on Lincoln Road - And after walking by many restaurants we finally got hungry and decided to go to Sibilla Ristorante, located at Lincoln Road. Most of ordered Pizzas, while Matti Decided to go for pasta. The food was good, and the price moderate.

Walking back to our hotel

Instead of taking taxi or anything else, we decided to walk back to our hotel, taking the famous boardwalk. It was nice to watch the nice hotels in their evening lightning.
